The GUSTARD S26 is a dedicated music server built for local, networked, and high-resolution digital audio playback. It pairs a self-developed X86 motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600U processor, in-memory playback architecture, and a multi-group 120VA linear power supply with global clock synchronization. Supporting Roon Core, UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay, HQPlayer NAA, and direct digital outputs including IIS, AES, coaxial, optical, and USB, the S26 serves as the central hub of your audio system.

Self-Developed X86 Motherboard for Pure Audio

At the heart of the S26 lies a self-developed X86 motherboard meticulously optimized for Hi-Fi applications. By eliminating unnecessary hardware components and fine-tuning the BIOS, power supply, thermal design, and vibration control, GUSTARD has significantly lowered the motherboard’s noise floor – with a noticeable improvement in audio resolution, detail retrieval, and musical expressiveness.

The S26 is equipped with a 6-core/12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 5600U processor built on the advanced Zen 3 architecture, with a base clock of 2.3GHz and boost up to 4.2GHz. Manufactured on a 7nm process at just 10W TDP, it offers outstanding power efficiency and silent, low-temperature stability – ideal for continuous audio playback.

CelWare Audio OS with CelPlayer

The S26 runs the CelWare Audio OS, designed specifically for audio processing with ultra-low latency. Its integrated CelPlayer system uses in-memory playback and memory-direct hardware write mechanisms to reduce data transfer latency, keeping audio data closer to the processing path and minimizing interruptions from storage access and system processes.

120VA Linear Power Supply Architecture

A custom-built 120VA hermetically sealed transformer with seamless magnetic cores and oxygen-free copper winding feeds multiple independent low-noise LDO stages, each dedicated to subsystems such as FPGA, PCIe, and network interfaces. Each isolated power zone delivers stable, clean power with noise under 5µV and current up to 2000mA, minimizing cross-interference for cleaner signal paths.

GCLK-02 Clock Module & Global Synchronization

A single-source clock generator drives PCIe, USB, and digital audio interfaces, keeping all subsystems synchronized and reducing jitter. The integrated GCLK-02 clock module uses PLL technology with 1Hz-level locking precision and supports an external 10MHz clock input via BNC for users who demand the utmost in clock fidelity.

Advanced Passive Cooling System

To eliminate fan noise and electromagnetic interference common in conventional PC hardware, the S26 uses liquid-cooled copper heat pipes with chassis-integrated passive cooling. This ensures superior thermal stability and protects audio purity by minimizing vibration and airflow distortion.

High-Performance Storage & Expansion

A built-in 1TB NVMe SSD using third-generation TLC 3D NAND delivers high-speed I/O, low latency, and exceptional endurance. An additional M.2 NVMe slot supports PCIe 3.0 x4 2280 SSDs up to 4TB (sold separately), making the S26 ready for large local music libraries.

Flexible Digital Outputs

The S26 provides IIS, AES, coaxial, optical, and USB outputs. IIS supports PCM up to 768kHz and DSD512, while AES, coaxial, and optical support PCM up to 192kHz and DSD64 via DoP; USB output depends on the connected DAC. The IIS interface also supports multiple wiring modes configurable through the app or web interface for broad DAC compatibility.

Streaming, Network & Control

With gigabit Ethernet and integrated playback services, the S26 works as both a server and bridge, supporting Roon Core, UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay, Spotify, and HQPlayer NAA. Control is available through the GUSTARD app and a browser interface at s26.local – accessible from phones, tablets, and computers without additional software installation.
