With THD+N of just 0.004%, a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB, selectable high and low gain inputs, NJU7391A electronic volume control with surround sound and tone control, gold-plated RCA inputs and speaker terminals, and a built-in power supply that eliminates external adapters, the PA40 combines audiophile-grade measured performance with the convenience and efficiency of modern Class D amplification.

Infineon MA5332 Class D Amplifier Chip

The MA5332 from Infineon is a high-performance digital amplifier chip designed for audio applications demanding superior efficiency and low energy consumption. With THD+N of 0.004% and a 100 dB signal-to-noise ratio, the PA40 delivers clean, dynamic, and low-distortion sound with excellent low-frequency response and minimal noise floor.

165W x 2 into 4 Ohms

Output power is rated at 165 watts per channel into 4-ohm loads and 85 watts per channel into 8-ohm loads — sufficient to drive bookshelf and floorstanding speakers with authority and headroom. Selectable high gain (315mV/20kOhm) and low gain (580mV/20kOhm) inputs accommodate a wide range of source output levels.

NJU7391A Volume Control with Tone Adjustment

The NJU7391A electronic volume control chip provides surround sound processing, bass and treble tone adjustment, and precise volume control. Fine-tune the sound to match your room acoustics, speaker characteristics, and personal preference — all from the front-panel knob or included remote control.

Built-In Power Supply

An integrated power supply eliminates the need for bulky external adapters, reducing cable clutter and electromagnetic interference while providing stable, optimized power delivery. Power consumption is just 40 watts at normal listening volume.
