The TOPPING LA90 Discrete brings the magic of NFCA circuitry to your speakers. This new iteration of the LA90 features a cutting-edge discrete NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) power amplifier circuit built from individually optimized components – delivering greater power in stereo mode, cleaner amplification with an SNR of 143dB, and a wider dynamic range for superb sonic reproduction. Supporting both stereo and mono operation, it is the ideal high-performance foundation for demanding speaker systems.

Discrete NFCA Amplifier Circuit

Instead of relying on integrated circuits, the LA90 Discrete uses a newly developed discrete NFCA power amplifier circuit made of individual components optimized for audio performance. This design reduces distortion, improves linearity, and provides greater control over the audio signal, achieving an ultra-low distortion of less than 0.0001% for a clean, natural, dark-background sound.

Stereo & Mono Operation Modes

The LA90 Discrete offers both stereo and mono modes for maximum system flexibility. In stereo mode it delivers 120W×2 @4Ω and 66W×2 @8Ω; in mono mode it provides an impressive 180W @4Ω and 220W @8Ω – easily powering even the hungriest speakers.

Two-Step Gain Settings

Fine-tune your audio experience with 2-step gain settings. In stereo mode, gain levels are +9.4dB and +19.4dB; in mono mode, +15.4dB and +25.4dB – letting you match the amplifier precisely to your preamplifier or DAC output.

Three XLR/TRS Balanced Inputs with Volume/Bypass Modes

Three input ports accept both XLR and TRS balanced connections, so you can connect up to three source setups and switch between them easily. Selectable input modes – with or without volume control (bypass) – let you configure the LA90 Discrete as a standalone powered amplifier or as part of a larger system with external volume management.

For a complete headphone + speaker system, pair it with the A90 Discrete, which adds headphone amplification, preamp duties, remote control, and input expansion.
